Recreation Foundation of Hopewell Valley
The Recreation Foundation of Hopewell Valley was founded in 1999 as a non-profit offshoot of the Hopewell Valley Recreation Roundtable to advocate for recreational needs in our community and receive donations of funds and in-kind services. The volunteer Trustee Board is comprised of recreational organizations in Hopewell Valley together with committed community leaders. Since its inception, The Foundation has helped build 5 multi-purpose grass fields, a softball field, and a multi-purpose artificial turf field. These facilities have provided hundreds of youngsters in scholastic sports programs, as well as recreational leagues, with safe and convenient playing fields.
The Foundation’s mission to advocate and support active and healthy recreational options for all youth is rooted in the principals of the HV Municipal Alliance’s Healthy Youth/Healthy Communities that believes young people who are engaged in recreational, educational, and artistic pursuits contribute to a healthier community. The Foundation recognizes that artistic expression and participation is an important part of a healthy community. The Foundation is proud to support the Hopewell Valley Art Council’s Oxen Stampede in its efforts to promote positive youth development in the Valley.
